桜井鈴茂
さくらい・すずも
1968年、札幌市の天使病院にて出生。石狩郡当別町で育つ。札幌開成高等学校卒業後、明治学院大学社会学部への進学にともない首都圏へ。1998年～2000年は京都市で暮らす。同志社大学大学院商学研究科中退。バイク便ライダー、カフェの店員、郵便配達員、祇園のスナックのボーイ、小料理屋店長、水道検針員など、さまざまな職歴を経たのちに『アレルヤ』（朝日新聞社／2002年、双葉文庫／2010年）で第13回朝日新人文学賞を受賞。著書に『終わりまであとどれくらいだろう』（双葉文庫／2005年）、『女たち』（フォイル／2009年）、『冬の旅』（河出書房新社／2011年）、『どうしてこんなところに』（双葉社／2014年）、『へんてこなこの場所から』（文遊社／2015年）、『できそこないの世界でおれたちは』（双葉社／2018年）、『探偵になんて向いてない』（双葉社／2021年）。現在は東京に在住。2020年1月に突如ノンアルに目覚め、以後はソーバーキュリアス暮らしを続ける。2020年9月にノンアル専門ECサイト「MARUKU」を、 2021年5月には東横線学芸大学駅界隈に「Low Alcoholic Cafe MARUKU」を開業。朝の散歩とDJと旅と猫とノンアルコールビールを愛好する。
Suzumo Sakurai
Suzumo Sakurai was born in Sapporo, Japan, in 1968. After graduating with a degree in sociology from Meiji Gakuin University he held a variety of jobs, including postman, waiter, and meter reader. He published his first novel, Aleluya in 2002, and has since published more other novels, A Day in the Garden of the Cherry, Wintertime Voyage, What am I Doing Here, Together in This Fucked Up World and two collections of short stories, Women and So You Start Something from This Bizarre Place. He loves cats, half-marathons, DJ-ing, traveling, non-alcoholic beer, and Henry Miller.
